Mondegreen is the term applied to the mis-hearing, mis-understanding, and mis-remembering of words in pieces learnt by heart.

Carol's Mondegreen

When I was a child, I learnt the Lord's Prayer - the protestant, King James, version.
I would stand up at school and at Sunday School and repeat with everyone else:

Our Father who art in Heaven,
  Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
  And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
  But deliver us from eagles.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
  For ever and ever.
  Amen.
