JadeLiquid was established 6 years ago by a former UTAS graduate, Anthony Scotney
to develop a leading Java browser SDK, WebRenderer. WebRenderer is a Java browser
component that can be embedded in any Java application.
Due to growth of the team at JadeLiquid a secure and reliable time logging and
analytics engine is required to track the teams performance over time.
An internal time logging web infrastructure is required specifically tailored
to the needs of JadeLiquid. Some of the requirements for the system are:
- Logging of an employee’s time down in 10 minute blocks and persisting
to a database.
- Ease of data entry so that minimal effort is required in the task and thus
employees will be motivated keep their records up to date.
- Authentication of employees
- Logging classes of employees: contract, part time, full time
- Integration points with existing applications
- Use of Unit Testing and Continuous Integration throughout the development
process
- Reporting via an analytics engine with graphing and benchmarking
External to the base requirements, students will be encouraged to present creative
ideas for areas such as the look and feel and navigation.
The students will be encouraged to use current and emerging technologies such as Hibernate, Spring, Ajax, etc.
An IP agreement will be required.
