Project Description:
Everyone loves Blackberries. Commonly know as Crackberry for their additive nature, Blackberries are a powerful business tool with widespread worldwide use. ISW is looking to take our usage of Blackberries to another level for not only managing email and calendaring but also allowing mobile real time access to business solutions and applicaitons. We are looking to utilise the workflow capabilities of IBM's Lotus Notes and Domino, and integrate them with the wireless mobility of the Blackberry smartphones. Students will utilise a range of modern technologies to provide users access to Lotus Notes databases and applications through a Blackberry smartphone. Students will develop interfaces allowing the creation of records and interrogation of data from existing Domino applications, such as client management, time recording and hr systems.
Why this project
This is a real world project. You will leverage modern technologies to achieve real outcomes for real users. Put into use current technologies such as Web Services and XML to leverage the Blackberry infrastructure to be more than just messaging and calendaring. Your team will gain valuable experience of working with a local IT company that is growing year on year. Leverage the knowledge of Advanced IBM Certified Application developers to help you quickly build a solid foundation in understanding IBM technologies. Gain practical knowledge of modern technologies being utilised throughout the IT world. This is also an opportunity to get the inside edge for highly sought after job opportunities at one of the leading IT companies in Tasmania.
