Describe one skill you have develop that will be useful for your future

One valuable skill that I have learned by doing Software Engineering Project is how to work as a team on a project and all the management issues that arise from such a situation. Working as a team is more than just splitting up the work, leaning how to deal with the decision making and coordination problems was one of the most important things that I have leans from doing Project.

Describe one problem you have had that was caused by working in a team

One problem that we had during our work on the project was understanding exactly what we were supposed to do. It took us quite a while before we understood what the project entailed, and what our software was supposed to do.

How did you overcome the problem?

We worked through this problem by having a lot of team meeting to discuss how we though it should work and then bringing our idea to the client, who could give their opinion on the subject. I took us quite a while to determine how everything was going to work, which ment that we had to design parts of our software as we went along.

Provide constructive advice for future students about forming a team or about choosing a project

The exact makeup of you team, and exactly which project you get doesn't matter too much. However you should try to do a project which interests you (and your team), choosing something too easy might make you bored, but choosing something fairly difficult (as we seem to have done) can take a lot of your time and not leave much for other classes.

it shows you the difficulties of working on a group project, and teaches you that creating software is more than just programming.
