release of M.E.R.S featured the following:
A basic graphical user interface
for the user to enter an error incident, the user can navigate through
the application by using next and back buttons. Most of the data
could be selected from drop down boxes or by selection radio button
or check boxes depending on which screen the user is currently on.
Once the user has filled in all the relevant data they receive a
confirmation screen at which time they can review their entries
and choose whether to submit the error or they may choose to go
back and edit their entries.
From the main menu the user could
select the Admin Login(reports) button and are taken to a report
generation centre, here they can select a report to view, in this
release a very basic report was generated for the user to see that
they can view data in the database.
Release 1 stores its data to an
Access 97 database, that can either be located on the local hard
drive or may be installed on the network drive.
