Interactive timeline software

INTRODUCTION:

Curator is a software tool made for museums, which will allow for the creation of interactive computer displays to accompany exhibits. It incorporates an interactive timeline system, which places an exhibit into a timeline of the era in which it was created. Curator is capable of providing a unique experience for each visit to the museum. This software is being created for the National Automobile Museum of Tasmania but it will be useful for other museums because of its customisable features. A museum will be able to add information to a database such as pictures and text, which can then be used in a touch screen (or other) computer display, so that museum visitors may obtain more information about an exhibition.A timeline will be produced which puts a particular object (for example a car) into the era in which it was made, allowing for visitors to get a taste of what the era was like.
