TEMCO, resourcefully operated by BHP Billiton, is Australia’s only ferro-alloy producer, operating 4 furnaces, and a Sinter Plant. TEMCO is situated at Bell Bay, 50 km north of Launceston and 4 km from George Town, on the Tamar River.
As part of its commitment to support the Tasmanian community, TEMCO is offering vacation student placements, to commence in November/December 2009 until University returns for 2010. Students enrolled in either the Bachelor of Computing or the Bachelor of Information Systems and are commencing their third year of study in 2010 are eligible to apply.

Roar is a multimedia production company based in Hobart. Roar develops interactive e-learning content that is used extensively in the UK and has also produced a number of products for local use such as BUDD:E for the Department of Broadband Communications and the Digital Economy.
Roar have some new initiatives in the pipeline and would like to hear from talented students at UTAS who will be graduating this year and looking to work in Hobart (developers, testers, sysadmins).
