Hobart and Surrounding Areas
- "Hobart, Australia’s second-oldest city, offers fine food, wine and art in a magnificent setting. Framed by Mount Wellington and the Derwent River, it’s little wonder Hobart has attracted tourists since the late 19th century. But it’s never been as fashionable as right now. Back then, its attraction was relief from searing mainland summer heat. That’s still the case, but the lure of lively arts scene, historic precincts, a rich culture of food and wine, exciting accommodation choices and a vibrant waterfront mean there’s never been a better time to discover Australia’s southernmost capital" (By Sue Dyson and Roger McShane in the "QANTAS Airline Magazine, August, 2006")
